(115,837 posts)because Hillary was expected to win handily but just barely (.2%) pulled off a technical win with the help of some lucky coin tosses. If your win is based on flipping coins, it's not much of a win. Bernie and his supporters are very happy today.

(6,960 posts)Sanders will take the win in Iowa ...
No matter how the Hillarians, the Democratic Party establishment, and parts of the mainstream media punditry may spin it, their inevitable one couldn't best a guy most Iowans and Americans had't even heard of six months ago.
Progressivism is on the march and we can'tism is being rejected.

Sure Clinton won. She got more delegates. Sure 6 or 7 of them were from a coin toss. She can claim victory. I guess I'm just so surprised that she is. I realize she wants the perception of being a WINNER. But it looks so petty when you see the actual totals and understand how truly close they are. Especially when you realize that Iowa has 44 delegates - and I believe with the last precinct going to Bernie - they actually wind up with 22 each (before it was 22 to 21 with 1 undecided) for the convention.
Yes I know Hillary has sewn up all the super delegates. We've heard that as well. But super delegates don't vote until the convention - so basically it's meaningless to count your chickens before they hatched.
The graciousness of Clinton (and her supporters) is a sight to behold. I'm getting dizzy from all the spin.
