Of course, you have to get past HRC's assassination comments, and her negative MLK, Jessie Jackson, and Reverend Wright points first.

(18,421 posts)Pretend like Hillary really doesn't care about NH because she's going to lose.
It's like campaigning with ten year olds.

(31,464 posts)Who cares about Iowa and New Hampshire. I just spent the weekend in New Hampshire...I literally got mocked at a bar because I was from "Connect-EE-cut!" I live less than two hours away, but I was viewed as a pointy-headed elitist because I was from Connecticut. The state is very, very rural, except for the southern border which is the dormitory community for Bostonians. They represent nothing, just as Iowa represents nothing. Crowing about some big victory is just plain silly, as will be the crowing from Bernie supporters when he wins New Hampshire. No one actually cares!

(2,493 posts)SOME state has to matter? If Bernie wins South Carolina (yeah, I know he won't) will THAT matter, or will you say that South Carolina is a "very, very rural state" with a bunch of rednecks that aren't representative of the rest of the country? Frankly, the accusation that a single state isn't representative of the rest of the country is true for many more states than not.

...until "Bostonians"...but replace it with Manhattanites and you'll score a hit...

(31,464 posts)Admittedly, I live in farm country in Eastern CT. But it's got about 2.5mil more people than New Hampshire, and it's 1/4 the size. There are some pretty good sized cities in CT. But you're correct, most of the population is concentrated in the "suburbs" of NYC.

(8,976 posts)I adopted NH over twenty years ago and never looked back....My people were oystermen working the waters off Bridgeport and the Housatonic River. I love both states but figured I'd throw an elbow to protect my home....and we would never call you a pointy-headed elitist.
We MIGHT call you a flatlander.....

(15,859 posts)I lived in Concord for years. No matter though, ALL our Legion Halls are like that. I went to one *once* with a friend of mine. I didnt fit in there either. I promise you most of us are nothing like that. FWIW, I consider you (CT) peeps like family. We're all New England dammit!

On All Due Respect they opened with "With all due respect to Iowa, we don't do coin flips in New Hampshire."

(24,544 posts)The laughable "black folks are feeling the BERRRRNN!11" videos currently littering this forum notwithstanding.
On the policy front, many simply found Sanderss policies unrealistically ambitious, an over-promising of giveaways. As one woman put it, He sounds like Oprah: You get a car! And you get a car! And you get a car! How is he going to pay for all that?
