Bush official heading up Romney transition team

Gotta get the old gang back together, I suppose...

The GOP presidential candidate’s Washington team is intensifying its efforts, moving into official office space and holding meetings on Capitol Hill. The team has also begun reaching out to K Streeters and former Republican administration officials to get guidance on the Senate confirmation process and recommendations for jobs in a possible Romney White House. [...]

The transition is being led by former Bush Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt, a fellow Mormon who is expected to play a senior role in any Romney White House.

ETA: not that Mittens will EVER have the chance to take us backward, sideways or upside down... all of which directions I am sure he would be more than capable of turning the country.

They plan and schedule as if they have a victory in their future.

Do the people who have to listen to them just nod, smile and back away very slowly--similar to how you'd treat a lunatic with a hand grenade?

Obama and McCain both had transition teams set up in 2008. You have to because it takes so much time to transition the govt. over after an election. But it is hilarious because Mittens is not currently winning this race.

I guess the evangelical Christian Mormon bashers have no issue at all with this kind of mormon political influence.

What a ridiculous story. Probably being floated because they think it might influence some dumbos to vote for him since hey, he's already got his transition team in place!
