My take away from last night:

First, well done to both candidates in their efforts to win over the people of Iowa. It was definitely a huge undertaking on both sides. Bernie did better than expected if you like to go by polls, giving Hillary a definite run for her money that no one can really deny. 0.35% isn't anything to brag about.

The thought that occurred to me this morning on reflection is how differently things could have gone if Bernie hadn't been discounted from the start. How many people, even on this board, support Hillary for some variation of the electability argument? People on this very site have said they largely agree with Bernies ideas and like him, but go with Hillary because they don't want to lose. Well, despite that, she definitely didn't win last night. If you win by coin toss, you didn't win.

So I just wonder how soundly Bernie would have won if people weren't held hostage by electability arguments or if they had felt able to vote with their "hearts", as HRC put it...
