"Where does all that leave us? With Obama safely back in the White House. If all of my calls turn out to be correct—an unlikely eventuality, I readily concede—the tally in the electoral college would be Obama three hundred and three, Romney two hundred and six. That leaves Florida’s twenty-nine votes, and, as I’ve said, I regard the Sunshine State as too close to call. For the sake of argument, let’s say that Romney ekes out a victory there, which would produce a final score in the electoral college of Obama three hundred and three, Romney two hundred and thirty-five. That would make 2012 comparable to 2004, when John Kerrey challenged a sitting President and got two hundred and fifty-one votes in the electoral college."

But Republicans say they are getting more requests for ballots than Democrats.

Does that mean Romney is likely to win there?

I agree with most that it will likely revert to the red this election, but the last few polls have it either tied or one candidate or the other with a very slim lead. There was one poll showing Obama with a four point lead in the state, but I'm not sure how reliable that polling firm is. Either way it will be very close.
