Bernie Won.

We all know that what happened yesterday in Iowa was unprecedented. An unknown Senator rose up to clash with the establishment titan and in the first round tied. This is despite having only about 10% of the media coverage and no support from the DNC.

Yes. Bernie's message will now be heard. That's all that is needed.

The surge will continue and it will carry him to the Whitehouse.

America and the world win.

Bernie tied.

Martin is dropping out. He's a good guy, but it was inevitable. Too bad. I like him.

I am a Bernie supporter. But Bernie and Hillary basically tied in the Iowan caucus. Whoever says different is just spinning. (In other words, making shit up.)

Hoping Bernie wins, but it won't likely happen this way.

A tie is not victory. Plus, this was a caucus, not an election.

I will primary for Bernie here in Michigan. But I despise folks who just make shit up simply to support their candidate.

Bernie did not win tonight, but thankfully, neither did Hillary. The best one can portray is that Bernie still has a chance, maybe even a good chance. Anything else is delusion, which does not help anybody, let alone Bernie Sanders.

My best.

managed to do so well in this Iowa primary. That means that he reached the voters hearts and minds with his message.

He won in that sense. He is winning in that he has the momentum. It isn't just spinning. It is watching him rise in the polls. This caucus result in Iowa proves that young people will come out to vote.

Also, Bernie has the exit results that show him what issues he needs to talk to. And that is a win. It gives him a direction for the future of his campaign.

I would say this is an incredible win for Bernie. We shall see what happens with the Iowa delegates.

But if they are not shared pretty equally, Bernie supporters will be very annoyed. Many of them are young. They will be more determined than ever to make sure that Bernie has the support he needs to win.

Either way, in a literal sense, you may say that Bernie did not win (although that remains to be seen), but in terms of momentum and the future of his campaign, Bernie won big.

I think that is why he was so obviously happy when he made his speech after the caucuses while Hillary and Bill and Chelsea looked grim as she made her speech.

Either way, this proves just how close and competitive this primary election is. We Bernie supporters have a lot of work to do, but winning the nomination is possible, maybe even very likely after today.

Feel the Bern! I do.

“The results tonight are the closest in Iowa Democratic caucus history. Hillary Clinton has been awarded 699.57 state delegate equivalents, Bernie Sanders has been awarded 695.49 state delegate equivalents, Martin O’Malley has been awarded 7.68 state delegate equivalents and uncommitted has been awarded .46 state delegate equivalents. We still have outstanding results in one precinct (Des Moines—42), which is worth 2.28 state delegate equivalents. We will report that final precinct when we have confirmed those results with the chair.

We were told the Des Moines Register poll was the "gold standard", that Bernie's people had not knocked on enough doors, that he didn't have Clinton's ground game or endorsements. And yet here we are...a virtual tie.

A coin toss? Seriously? In what we're told is the greatest democracy in the history of the world?

Why not rock/paper/scissors? Or a randomly dealt high-hand in poker? WTF?

If the precincts are tied, then either split them or don't count them. If it's an odd number of delegates, then each candidate in a tie gets half-plus-one.

A coin toss? Really?

When a relatively unknown goes against someone who has been in the public eye for at least 30 years, he ties!! That is a win in my opinion.

To get any recognition is difficult enough when you go against the big political machine. When the people speak and the net result is an equal result, I find that is a victory. Bravo Bernie.

We need a new direction. Senator sanders has hit a vital spot in the body conscious. We need someone who is willing and able to change the direction of our country. This old timer feels like he is the only choice we have and a good one!. His ideas will help all of the 99%. If our unbelievable, inept congress will accept the fact that the populace is fed up, maybe we can see some change in direction.

Senator Sanders offers the only viable option.
Go Bernie! Off to N.H. and a wipe out!

It is remarkable that a virtual unknown with little media exposure and significantly less resources almost pulled off a win in Iowa against a well known and well financed opponent. That is a great accomplishment. But, it isn't a win. It might give hope that he can do better in future contests based on his showing. But, it isn't a win.
