2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDid Hillary win Iowa caucus on coin flips?
I read in multiple places that Hillary won six of seven coin flips for delegates. If true, did she win the caucus on coin flips? She currently leads by 4 delegate with one precinct in Des Moines outstanding. Were there no coin flips, Bernie would be leading by one delegate. This shows how undemocratic the caucus process.

(14,587 posts)she had a giant, powerful, well-funded political machine and was the presumptive nominee. Then you have Bernie coming out of nowhere and turning the Clinton machine's 50 point lead into a tie.
No, Clinton didn't 'win.' Bernie won. And so did the rest of the American people.

(8,879 posts)ever assembled, I've been told here. Bernie wouldn't stand a chance.
Hillary needed a little chance to pull it off. This is a win fo Bernie and for we supporters.

(32,324 posts)was not worth it to contest the voting situation in Ohio. (Carville basically lied and told Kerry that there were not enough outstanding ballots left uncounted to give Kerry the Ohio electoral votes, and Kerry believed him.)
So don't expect any ethical approach to this race between her and Sanders. She helped give us four more years of George W just so that the 2008 election would be hers. (Karma is a bitch, and refused to let her have that '08 win!)

(441 posts)Why the Democrats retain such an undemocratic (small "d" system is beyond me. I would bet that Sanders won the popular vote by 1 or 2% but since his vote was more concentrated in certain precincts where turnout was high he lost the delegate vote. We may never know this for sure because the data for 90 precincts apparently disappeared.

So the data for 90 precincts basically disappeared!
That is so "Chicago" of the Democratic Party Leadership.

(6,829 posts)It doesn't reflect their spin that she "won" outright instead of "winning" by a game of chance

(5,420 posts)But her supporters will act like it was a big win based on her abilities. Is there video of those tosses BTW?
