(47,209 posts)sounds like a recount of 90 pcts, but not sure why they are calling it "recreating" the votes. Odd.

(47,209 posts)Has to be less than 90%. So odd. And now it's at 99% and split even. WOW.
MissDeeds
(7,499 posts)on problems with failure to staff ninety precients. The heiress anointed herself winner before the votes were counted. Yeah, that's democratic.
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)Neither did Bernie.
I thought that was pretty cool. They both had to make statements before midnight, and they did.
MissDeeds
(7,499 posts)and what was reported on MSNBC. They were stunned that Hillary said she won.
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)it was just speculation beforehand- LOL- that it was going to be a victory speech. the closest thing she said was she was breathing a sigh of relief, and looked forward to debating Bernie.
LOL, stop repeating nonsense.
MissDeeds
(7,499 posts)The nine people here with me watching the results see it differently.
Nonsense much? We have a difference of opinion. No need to be rude.
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)for 3-5 minutes after her speech ended. And they were unanimous. so yeah- they did not call it a victory speech.
Half-Century Man
(5,279 posts)She didn't declare herself victorious.

(47,209 posts)Just saw it in another OP. People are actually posting completely contrary to what the MSNBC reporters said after the speech. I am shocked, LOL!

(11,785 posts)So are they possibly going to correct/change vote totals?
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)Now they are at 50/50% again, with 99% showing. It was .02 different a moment ago at 99%. LOL.

(41,600 posts)the Microsoft app? I don't know.
The unstaffed precincts (90) just aren't being counted at all, or the citizens did the counting? Again, I don't know.

(47,209 posts)people (including pct captains) had to come back and recreate their tallies. But I thought the initial report was he talked with people at both campaigns, but later he kept mentioning Sanders.
So, no tally tonight. Meh, it;s the best tie ever, I guess.

(18,133 posts)this redo thing is pretty weird though. i'm not watching the teevee, are they still talking about it?
bettyellen
(47,209 posts)I know the original thing came from a reporter saying he was literally with Sanders and staff and that is where he learned of it. Unclear who exactly says the recount is needed? All but 3 delegates counted?

The Register called it a draw for Dems. Cool.

(65,488 posts)did pretty well in Iowa.
The media are deliberately running a narrative about what a huge loser Trump is for coming in second, but Cruz's evangelical appeal was always going to make him an Iowa favorite among the Republicans, and evangelical attendance at the GOP caucuses was slightly over 65%.
Trump has a 28 point lead in NH, I think, so he is likely to win there and in some other early states. I guess the media are trying out the narrative of his being a big loser as a way of amping up the all-important horserace aspect on the GOP side.
I think Rubio is more dangerous than Trump , because Rubio has the backing of the deep pocket donors now that Bush has washed out, and Rubio is just slick enough to fool low-information voters.

(47,209 posts)they had internal tallies, so they believe so. But the tally might not have been final when Hillary spoke. But they seem sure now. They were not aware about the 90 pct dispute while taking off- and say that must be coming from Sanders camp.
