What are the odds of winning 3 coin tosses consecutively?

Not that long.

Best Answer: Since there is a 1/2 chance of guessing correctly for each coin toss, there is a (1/2)^3 = 1/8 chance of guessing correctly on 3-in-a-row.

This gives the odds in favor to be 1 and the odds against to be 7:1

I hope this helps!

They were three coin tosses in three different locations in different parts of the state and all tossed by different people.

It's 50/50 on each coin toss. One is not related to the other in any way. Different coins, tossed by different people, in different places.

8 ways of 3 coins landing and one way of it being all heads (and one way of being all tails).
So yes there is a probability of 1/8.

in the infinite numbers of alternate universes that are running these caucuses, in about one eighth of them all the flips will end up for Hillary.

We live in one of those universes.

... can come down to a 1:8 series of coin tosses? It just sort of makes you think. Well, it makes me think, anyway. Life.... you never know.
