Here is an election idea for those of you on the ground.

I once was delivering pamphlets for a political candidate. Other people from our campaign were delivering and nailing in campaign signs on people's lawns. I came across a sign from another party that had been vandalized. I walked up to the door and rang the owner. A lady came to the door. I told her I was from the NDP campaign and could I send somebody out from our campaign sign crew to fix her sign. She said "no thanks". Then she stopped and said "Where are you from again.....I really, really appreciate you offering". EMPATHY. Be the change you want to see in other people (republicans) and you might change a heart or two.

Random acts of kindness go straight to my heartstrings. That's why it's hard sometimes to understand how the other party gets off and gets followers with such cruelty.
