Why don't the men get vasectomies and the women won't be burdened with unplanned pregnancies?

(23,720 posts)Imo, many are just selfish pigs. They will tell a woman anything to get laid. You just don't know how many times I've heard a woman say, "he told me he couldn't have babies" or "I've had a vasectomy".
But women always get the blame for an unexpected pregnancy as she if performed the act alone.
I think if the law came down on men for having sex with women out of wedlock or abandoning their offspring when born, there might be less women using birth control or having abortions.
I'm not an advocate of abstinence. I think everyone should do their own thing and have a CHOICE to make their own reproductive decisions and not have to follow some woman hating pervert's idea of what love/sex should be between two grown, consenting adults. Words written by a mortal man who claimed God spoke to him.
I've always kind of thought that if God could speak to him, he could just as easily speak to me. And that hasn't happened yet. But could you imagine if I did hear voices in my head? If I told people god was talking to me, they'd think I was nuts!

(16,254 posts)truly want the abortions to be available, as their girlfriends might "make such an announcement" some day and that would just be tooooo embarrassing if they were "found out" by their peers.
It amazes me how obscessed they are with sex and women's bodies. Santorum may end up the candidate simply because he won't get off the subject and the old coots are titillated by his subject matter.
Now, if we could figure out how to turn births over to the males, we'd no longer have a population explosion.

(3,539 posts)we did want to have a family, eventually. Yes we did want things to work out ABCD, but if it was ACBD we we would have dealt with it. I was just happy that she was able to help and take some of the responsability for the timeing.
As it turns out we were gifted with one child. Only one. Like the ABCD thing you play the hand you're dealt.

(14,337 posts)after our second daughter was born. I took the Pill before and in between our kids. We agree before we married on TWO KIDS, no matter their gender. After the two, HE would be sterilized. Why should the woman, especially married, have to be the only one responsible for BC. Snip snip and no more pills. End of story.
