and take down a good deal of our party with her.
That's a right brilliant strategy you got there.
Well, at least Warren seems to see which way the wind is blowing...

(13,390 posts)People believe the Clinton's are wholely corrupt because, yeah she did set up that private server, she did try to stear people away from whitewater, and yes, her husband really did perjure himself when he was POTUS.
There is enough truth that gives the appearance of corruption that people not only believe it, they expect to see Clinton corruption as par for the course.
The "republicans just hate us" victim strategy that raised Bill Clinton's poll numbers during his impeachment is not an effective catch all.
There is a very long history of lies on top of the ridiculous actions that provoked serious investigations. People are sick of it and will not many will vote for a candidate who is bound to put us through more of it because the fabricated scandals are believable.

(11,257 posts)and generally I think she is a weak candidate with big unfavorables, and way to close to corporations.
But setting up a private mail server was done for C. Rice and Colin Powell (and if I'm remembering right M. Albright as well).
Whitewater was a huge nothing in which the Clintons were found to be victims, not guilty.
And Clinton didn't perjure himself, because his testimony concerning Monica Lewinsky was found to be immaterial to the case he was testifying about.
Hillary has enough actual problems that you can actually point to which are true without relying on these republican lies.
