I'm 63, but I've got Facebook down. I know how to use it and read it fairly proficiently.

But Twitter? I just can't get my head around it. I have an account, but no clue how it works, or the dynamics of it. How does one (or ones) "take it over"?

what my friends decide to post, and what the pages I subscribe to or visit post....and of course those friendly Fabook "suggestions."

But I never discern any trends or movements, like people keep talking about on Twitter....But maybe my friends are just too scattered to have any common denominators.

The only difference is, it's not a two-way street, you don't generally need permission to follow someone.

although, for the life of me I've yet to understand the point of Twitter. I have an account which I opened when it first appeared on the scene, but didn't understand how to use. I've forgotten the password.

Something about short little messages constantly going out to lots of people you don't actually know, on their phones?

That kind of interruption and constant clutter on my phone would drive me batty.

Still, it's relevant for others, so if it's getting the message out, I'm all for it.

I've never used it and can't remember my password, I don't think I have to worry about turning off my alerts, lol.

As for news...I check in on the 'puter twice a day for news...could use my smart phone for that, but I can't check my phone or account, if it were working, at work, and wouldn't want to while driving, running errands, doing barn chores, etc..

It becomes apparent why I never got the hang of it, lol.
