Youth for O'Malley ?@youthforomalley 2h2 hours agoOMalleys kids on millennial issues and the importance of the youth vote: http://www.bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/2016/01/omalleys_kids_talk_clinton_millennial_issues #YouthForOMalley #OMalley2016
Former Maryland Governor and Democratic Presidential hopeful Martin OMalleys kids are a part of this generation and we interviewed them to try and get a grasp on what is important to this enormous group of potential voters and to get their reaction to Hillary Clintons email scandal.
The big news from the OMalley camp is that we really could not care less, said 18-year-old William OMalley of Clintons email woes. That is something for Secretary Clinton and her lawyers to figure out. I am proud of just how positive my dads been his entire campaign.
Hes just focused on the issues.
Tara OMalley, 23, channeled her fathers progressive message.
Climate change is one of the major issues for millennials today, she said.
She says she is concerned about what will happen if climate change is ignored.
It is going to get worse if nothing is done about it, if we dont take action, she said.
William says college debt is his top issue. Pointing to his sisters, he said these two racked up a lot of student debt. Our family has learned from experience."
We want to make sure that other families dealing with this issue can send their children to college, he said.
Grace OMalley, 24, says this generation of voters is becoming more forceful in politics.
I think millennials voters are becoming better advocates for themselves, she said. I feel like social issues are huge for millennials.
