Joe Ricketts causes Dem furor in Iowa; Clinton accuses him of helping Sanders (the front-runner)

Joe Ricketts and his crew of top-dollar GOP donors are causing a bit of a political furor in Iowa.

A super PAC founded by the Nebraska native and TD Ameritrade founder recently launched a $600,000 media blitz against Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

The twist is that Democrat Hillary Clinton and her supporters believe the ad is intended to help – not hurt – Sanders. They argue that Ricketts and his fellow wealthy Republican donors want Sanders to win the Democratic nomination because they believe Clinton would be harder to defeat in the fall election.

Brian Baker, a spokesman for Ricketts' super PAC known as ESA, said Clinton was simply wrong.

Bernie beats Kruz and Trump in national match ups.

According to Real Clear Politics poll averages Sanders beats Trump 46-41; Sanders also beats Cruz by 45 to 41.

According to the same RCP averages, Clinton beats Trump (but by less than Bernie).

And she doesn't beat Kruz! Clinton loses by .6 percent.
