Related: About this forumUS Rep. David Price endorses Hillary Clinton
Longtime N.C. Congressman David Price isnt feeling the Bern of the Bernie Sanders campaign hes endorsing Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.
Prices district stretches from Alamance County to Fayetteville and includes parts of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. Hes the second Democrat in North Carolinas Congressional delegate to back Clinton Rep. G.K. Butterfield endorsed her earlier this month.
Heres the statement Price released Tuesday:
Hillary Clinton is the experienced, principled leader we need to continue moving our country toward a more prosperous and inclusive future. In her three decades of public service, she has maintained a steady focus on addressing the causes of inequality: expanding economic opportunity, improving education, making quality health care and housing accessible and affordable, alleviating poverty. In this campaign, she has put forward bold and convincing proposals to deal with gun violence, financial system abuses, big money in politics, mass incarceration, wage stagnation, and access to college.
