US Rep. David Price endorses Hillary Clinton

Longtime N.C. Congressman David Price isn’t “feeling the Bern” of the Bernie Sanders campaign – he’s endorsing Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.

Price’s district stretches from Alamance County to Fayetteville and includes parts of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. He’s the second Democrat in North Carolina’s Congressional delegate to back Clinton – Rep. G.K. Butterfield endorsed her earlier this month.

Here’s the statement Price released Tuesday:

“Hillary Clinton is the experienced, principled leader we need to continue moving our country toward a more prosperous and inclusive future. In her three decades of public service, she has maintained a steady focus on addressing the causes of inequality: expanding economic opportunity, improving education, making quality health care and housing accessible and affordable, alleviating poverty. In this campaign, she has put forward bold and convincing proposals to deal with gun violence, financial system abuses, big money in politics, mass incarceration, wage stagnation, and access to college.
