2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumOMG!!! Sanders has held over 108 events in Iowa to Hillary's 84.
And he's had an average of 4-5 times the number of attendees than Clinton! Now THAT'S a ground game! Just now being discussed on MSNBC. They are saying Sanders is the energy and momentum candidate and this is the great underestimation of the Clinton campaign. They also discussed that her campaign underestimated how Sanders would spend his money (more wisely than Clinton).
No wonder her campaign is freaking out. They've committed more resources than they wanted to in Iowa and they're still going to lose.

(12,504 posts)how nasty and of course totally predictable. You've done this twice now.
synergie
(1,901 posts)about your lack of understanding of what a ground game consists of, but well oxygenated too! I'm sure all of Bernie's speeches speak about how he's way better than his candidates, and wiser, more handsome and dapper too. That's what people say at their campaign rallies and why people go to see them.

Did you have to pay extra for the bullshit?

(1,901 posts)you seem to enjoy the "swhoooshing" you describe rather often as your posts demonstrate. Enjoy the breeze, and no you're not the only only who notices how well you describe a sensation you're awfully familiar with from personal experience.

(57,349 posts)It's quite deafening and since it happens so frequently I may have to invest in some good earplugs.
synergie
(1,901 posts)as you do, must take its toll. It's too bad that you don't seem to understand that the "whoosing" that you admit is so frequent and so deafening that you require ear plugs is something felt by the person who misses the point.
Those of us observing you don't hear the sounds you're complaining about.
That loud whoosh that this post caused is you not understanding what you just confessed to.
Invest in those earplugs, your dedication to missing every point is harmful to your hearing, given how often you say and show you experience the whooshing, you're probably already suffering from damage.
You poor deaf thing! Hope you feel better soon.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
This response is over the top and abusive, this person has nothing of substance to add to the conversation but rather acts as a malicious disruptor. Hide this over the top post.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Jan 25, 2016, 12:48 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It was a response to an over the top post. If the provocation wasn't hidden, I see no reason why the response should be.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Not really a personal attack of any kind. Seems fine.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It's not that bad. Grow a thicker skin.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The post this is a reply to should have been the one hidden.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: As BMUS says:
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The post BMUScottie was responding to (post by Synergie) was far more abusive, malicious and rude. Why didn't you alert on that post?
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

(14,177 posts)One summer I worked on a farm. I was a cow patty hunter. We that is my cousin and I had to go out and find dried cow patties and bag them they were sold to be made into fertilizer. So, yes you do have to pay extra for bullshit and cow shit too. It cost a lot more than straw I can guarantee you that.

You think crowds and flattering thing stated at a campaign rally are indicative of organization or a persuasive argument? If so, that's kind of sad.

(1,901 posts)none of which is very nice though, mostly because you have neither any understanding of what a ground game is, how campaigns work, or a sense of humor. No wonder you're so angry.

(19,089 posts)There is no doubt where the enthusiasm lies .... FIRMLY in the Bernie Camp ...
EVERYBODY connected with the beltway underestimated the power of Bernie's candidacy ... From Hillary on down to local media ...
The Bernie juggernaut is unprecedented ... It's gonna be a tough nut to crack ... They still cant wrap their heads around it ...
I think they'll get the message come November ....

this article from Dec 29, 2015:
OMalley leads his Democratic rivals and many of the Republican candidates, too in the number of events held in Iowa, according to the Des Moines Registers Candidate Tracker.
But quantity of events doesnt necessarily lead to an increase in poll numbers. Rick Santorum, despite holding 209 events in Iowa, is polling at 1 percent. Another candidate tied with OMalley at 136 events, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, has already dropped out of the GOP race.

synergie
(1,901 posts)the over the top flattering rhetoric at a candidate's own campaign, this is a crowd turnout, it says nothing about a ground game. Which was the point of my comments and which went right over the heads of those who seem intent on being hyperpartisan and hypersensitive.
