Romney: Obama 'trying to fool people'
Denver, Colorado (CNN) Mitt Romney blamed President Barack Obama for mischaracterizing his positions and forcing him to spend more time fund-raising, as the GOP presidential candidate looked to turn around his campaign trajectory and end a difficult week.
--snip-- (many more whiny Romney quotes in the full article)
The Obama campaign quickly fired back a statement.
"It's odd that Mitt Romney, a former CEO, won't take personal responsibility for his campaign's troubles," said campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith. "And it certainly takes a lot of chutzpah for himafter his campaign bragged that it wouldn't be dictated by fact checkersto shed crocodile tears over a legitimate discussion of his record and policies."

(3,469 posts)Repukes play the victim card ALL THE TIME. When are they going to take personal responsibility for the mess they got us in? The financial crisis? The wars? When will they stop whining about "the liberal media" every time they say something stupid and the media reports it. They never, ever take responsibility for anything. It's always someone else's fault.
When they ask... "Are you better off now than four years ago..." just once I'd like to see someone ask them "What have you done to help make things better?" Mitt puts his money in the Caymens and spent four years running for President while President Obama spent four years cleaning up the Republicans' messes. His VP choice met with a group on Inauguration Day and plotted to block Obama's efforts to clean up their mess. Personal responsibility, my ass.

(32,723 posts)....not only for that whole "Iraq is the Central Front of the War On Terror" crap but for calling us traitors back then who were working for the terrorists and for their advocating torture.
Wanna really mess with their heads? Tell them the Republicans made a decision back in 2008 that they had lost their "National Security" and the "Good For The Economy" status and actually ANNOUNCED that they were going to fall back on their "cheapskate" reputation despite having spent like drunken sailors when they were in power.
Right Wingers everywhere then started to echo their talking points like good little parrots. I tell them they aren't "leaders", they're followers who can't think for themselves and that's why they never come up with anything original.

(533 posts)I've done this for years and it totally fucks with their cognition. It is as if I have activated their 'republican talking points' synapsis in their brains, but what follows is out of joint. They become speechless.
For instance:
Some meathead spotting about the war on Christmas. I'll say, " Stop crying. This is another example of the culture of victimization that infects our country."
Or.
" I am sick of the attacks on business property rights and their god given freedom to advertise as they see fit guaranteed by our constitution."
If they go off on something a liberal said I'll say, " this is political correctness gone amuck."
I have a million of these. It is a fun game to play.

This weekend it's "I should be taxed low", investing in our "#1 geopolitical enemy, Russia", asking why airplane windows don't open and the beyond-all-belief "Let them eat Emergency Room care".
What the fuck is going on here?
I've never seen anything like it.

AND we still want to protect our very long coastline from Big Oil.

Romneys wife, Ann, was in attendance, and the candidate spoke of the concern he had for her when her plane had to make an emergency landing Friday en route to Santa Monica because of an electrical malfunction.
I appreciate the fact that she is on the ground, safe and sound. And I dont think she knows just how worried some of us were, Romney said. When you have a fire in an aircraft, theres no place to go, exactly, theres no and you cant find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows dont open. I dont know why they dont do that. Its a real problem. So its very dangerous. And she was choking and rubbing her eyes. Fortunately, there was enough oxygen for the pilot and copilot to make a safe landing in Denver. But shes safe and sound.

(331 posts)They blame the other person. In this race it seems easy to blame Obama. I get so sick of hearing people blame him for the economy when he has tried. The Republicans have practiced their speeches over and over. Blame Obama for poor leadership. Blame Obama for spending so much money. Blame Obama for the health care problems. It is their only excuse for everything.
