Related: About this forumEmail From Debbie Wasserman Schultz... Starting Lesser of Two Evils Argument Already?
This Is A Debbie Wasserman Schultz for Congress email I received TODAY!
Hillary/Clinton Incorporated and Debbie collaborating and ...pulling out all the stops there can be no doubt!
NAME, Iowa voters head to their caucuses in just under two weeks to pick which GOP nominee they want to see in the White House. Can you imagine a President Cruz? A President Trump? What about a President Rubio?
(Debbie's Message: Be Safe and Support/Caucus for Hillary)
To be honest, the prospect of any one of the candidates in the Republican field becoming our president is frightening -- especially after the regressive and outright offensive ideas theyve been floating throughout campaign season.
Its almost too difficult to pick who would be worse, but Im going to ask you anyway.
We dont want Iowa to have all the fun.
Cast your vote and tell us which GOP candidate scares you the most. Who do you think is the Worst of the Worst?
In case you cant keep the crazy things Republicans have said straight, here is a refresher.
Senator Ted Cruz likened repealing the Presidents Affordable Care Act to putting a man on the moon, saying, in all seriousness, that Obamacare was as intimidating as the moon.
Donald Trump recklessly called for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.
And not to be outdone, Senator Marco Rubio's thoughts on raising workers wages: To argue that raising the minimum wage is going to create upward mobility is, quite frankly, silly.
NAME, the Iowa Caucus is less than two weeks away. I want to hear from you.
I want to know which GOP candidate takes the title of Worst of the Worst, and why.
Thanks, Debbie
Debbie's Point: You're scared of the GOP field... Play it SAFE... Democrats... Hillary is the "SAFE" bet...
My Analysis: NOPE Deb, I STAND WITH BERNIE ALL THE WAY!
Just say NO to any more... Vote for the lesser of two evils crap! I am DONE with that!
Say NO to THE "CORPORATIST" Wall Street OWNED Democrat...
Say NO to The THIRD WAY CORPORATE Candidate...
Stand TALL and Affirm to America that
The Bernie Revolution of the People and by the People is in FULL SWING!

If hillary is the candidate in the GE I'm not sure I could determine the lesser of the evils
We have all accused Barrack Obama of being a Corporatist on many issue but Hillary would make Obama seem like an FDR

(75,480 posts)We Democrats are being told to do what is pragmatic and doable. Republicans OTOH are being told the opposite or to go for the impossible like revoking the ACA over and over again even though there is no chance.
So the sensible thing is to vote for a politician who doesn't upset the PTB instead of the one who will shake things up and put our country back on track because some say it's impractical.
GIMME A BREAK!

(1,555 posts)And I am a full on Bernie supporter who does not care for DWS at all, but I don't need to make things up to confirm my feelings.
To say it's a stretch is extremely generous, IMO.

(2,546 posts)This email from Congressional Candidate DWS .... what does it have to do with Debbie's congressional campaign?
I get this crap from her all the time asking for CA$H!
Debbie is someone who ENDORSED my Republican opponent in my 2006 race for U.S. House here in Florida... Not once but TWICE in the St Pete Times... So I know her better than most...
This email is designed to begin setting the stage for OUR acceptance of what is in OUR opinion an unexciting stay the course CORPORATE OWNED Candidate in HRC aka, Clinton Incorporated.
The effort to "transition" voter sentiment to the lesser of two evils choice in a person who is in so many ways a Less than Adequate ... Get In Line, Hold Your Nose and vote for ... The Lesser of Two Evils candidate....HRC must by definition be accomplished over time...
So THIS was Debbie's inaugural effort to start "The Turn," if not also to subtly try and "adjust" Democratic voter sentiment here in Florida with a Primary Election coming in March, to get Florida Dems to VOTE for Clinton in the Primary... Instead of Senator Sanders.

(19,926 posts)That's despicable. I thought that was the GOP way.
I'm so thankful I have a candidate to support who is not playing on our fears but playing to our hopes and dreams of what this country can truly be again.
Why would I vote for the lesser of two evils when I can vote for the good?

(5,402 posts)Sure, DWS is a drone for Hillary Clinton, but it sounds you are seeing more in this than is actually there.
Take a deep breath, help Sanders face real challenges, and DWS will be gone before the election is over.

(6,699 posts)I've been spoiled, and I'm not going back. How excited would you be for Dukakis? Mondale? Humphrey? They may have been good men, but they were certainly nothing that excited anyone. Pitch those names against Reagan, HW Bush or Nixon....and it was just enough to vote for anyone.
Now we have a choice. We had a choice in 2008 and 2012, and it electrified the base. Now we have Bernie and HRC, and you tell me, WHO is the Dukakis in this race?
