Romney campaign gave out $200k in bonuses to senior employees just after the RNC

9/21/12 6:08 AM EDT

Mitt Romney’s campaign took out a $20 million loan in August and ended the month with $38 million less in the bank than President Barack Obama.

At the same time, the campaign gave out about $200,000 in bonuses to senior employees just after the Republican National Convention, which ended with the candidate not getting much of a bounce in the polls.

The beneficiaries included national political director Richard Beeson, campaign manager Matt Rhoades, general counsel Kathryn Biber, policy adviser Lanhee Chen, communications director Gail Gitcho, digital director Zach Moffatt and adviser Gabriel Schoenfeld, according to federal campaign finance reports filed Thursday. The Washington Post first reported the bonuses.

According to the Post, Beeson received a $37,500 bonus on top of his monthly salary of $13,750. Rhoades, Chen and Gitcho received $25,000 each.

They give huge pay hikes and bonuses to the senior managers and get them to help destroy the companies.

Except it doesn't seem to have worked with the senior campaign people. They're tanking badly in spite of their bonuses. LOL!

In venture capitalism, senior management gets compensated based on performance. But it doesn't matter if that performance is good or bad. They prosper at the expense of their host, not because they have nurtured it.

Remember that in his line of business, it doesn't matter whether the patient lives or dies. He gets paid either way. Sometimes it is much more profitable for the patient to die.

You can bet that Romney will end up with $50 million in his campaign account, which law allows him to keep. OK, technically speaking, he can't keep it for personal use. But he can certainly form a consulting company of which he and Ann are the sole shareholders, and the Romney legacy campaign can hire this consulting company to perform "services" that just happen to add up to the amount that is left in his campaign account.

Suck the money out and give it to his friends

(as a smart poster whose name I can't recall pointed out in a different thread, Anne says he would run the country, not serve it)
