Related: About this forumI will vote for Bernie Sanders if he wins the Democratic nomination
I will vote for Hillary if she wins the nomination.
The election is too important.
Hopefully everyone will support the Democratic nominee regardless of who it is.

(22,308 posts)Although, the way I phrase it is that I will vote against the Republican candidate if Hillary is our nominee.

(16,286 posts)Even if, in fact ESPECIALLY if it is Hillary, because according to some here if it is her we have a tougher time winning in Nov.
As bad as Hillary is compared to Bernie on Wall Street, she is VASTLY superior to the alternative in the GOP and I would think a person could get excited about that.
What I think would be best is if Bernie is the nominee, former Hillary supporters go door to door to talk to people about why they are now supporting Bernie, and the other way around.

(55,981 posts)controlled by big money. This is not Democracy, and it will only get worse if we don't stand up to Big Money we will see poverty levels grow and grow. This is why the candidate that we send to defeat the Republicons is so important. I believe that Senator Sanders has a much better chance on winning the general. People want change. I will always support Democrats.

(11,138 posts)So yeah, you must think pretty little of him. Being all Liberal and stuff. The sheer NERVE of it.

(50,993 posts)I'll vote for Bernie if he wins the primary, but I will vote for Hillary in the primary, and I think she's the better candidate.

(33,982 posts)You found a more diplomatic way to say the same thing you've railed at others for saying about *your* favored candidate.
Good for you!

(71,265 posts)I don't chide them for not being enthusiastic about her.
I will vote for him but it will not be a vote for him but against Republicans.
AtheistCrusader
(33,982 posts)It's usually coupled with some lame excuse about how he's 'not really a Democrat(TM)'.

Perhaps the ratio of 'criticisms' is due to the size of the attack surface each candidate presents?

I will HAPPILY try to convince others to vote for them.
But I will not tolerate "3rd party", "I'm staying home", "I'm only voting down ticket", "I'm writing in person X" ... dip shits.

And then, afterwards, hopefully we can replace the current chair of the DNC with someone who doesn't enthusiastically support putting sick people in prison for smoking marijuana.

(30,439 posts)You don't think the top tax rate should be raised to at least 50%?
You don't think the minimum wage should be increased?
You don't think the defense budget should be reduced?
Why are you posting on this board then? I agree with all those things and the only thing you agree with me on is voting for the Dem nominee?
I don't follow your posts very closely, but perhaps you should consider the above positions?
Matariki
(18,775 posts)I likewise don't follow your posts except to notice you pop up to disparage every thread with good news about Sanders. I personally doubt that Clinton will work for many of those positions considering her ties with the wealthy, with the for-profit prison industry, with banks, etc. I hope I'm wrong about that. I'll vote for her if she wins the primaries of course. I expect she'll be just about the same as Obama - good on some issues, particularly social issues, and bad on financial regulations, pushing stuff like TTP, cabinet appointments that are depressing, etc, etc.
Cali_Democrat

(18,775 posts)I'm very aware of your posts in GD: P. I have no idea what your other posts on DU are like. I'm sure it's obvious that I'm referring to the primaries and our respective choice of candidates. Don't know why you're being so coy.
