Shanghai Photographer Spends 3 Years Capturing Kissing Couples On Shanghai Metro

A photographer in Shanghai has spent the past three years snapping pictures of couples kissing on the Shanghai Metro, and his collection, called "#kiss #romantic" has recently been making the rounds on the web.

The photographer, who goes by the user name "Cong Ming de Ben Ben Xiong", works in the IT field and has made it a habit to bring his camera with him to work every day. Since 2012, he has been taking pictures of kissing couples on the Shanghai Metro, capturing intimate moments under the florescent lights of public transportation.

The photographer told reporters that he is still working on this project and takes about 50 to 60 thousand photos a year. While he's not sure how the project will evolve in the future, he'll continue taking candid snapshots of kissing couples for the time being.

The photographer insists that his photos were all taken in a candid fashion and that he would always try his best not to disturb his subject. He added that he would immediately remove the picture if the couple being photographed felt uncomfortable with it. To his surprise, it's usually not the couples who would request for him to delete photos, but rather people who distribute flyers on the Metro.
