I'm always amazed at the kindness and outpouring

of love that I see in this group.

You are a wonderful bunch of people, brought together by so much sadness and loss yet you find it in yourselves to wrap your arms around one another.

This is the BEST group on DU.

thank you all for being here.

When I find myself struggling with life, I visit this group.

Having sustained many close loses over the last few years including a Significant Other (do they still use that phrase) in Feb 2007. I ended up in therapy because I could not come out of the grief and they sent me back to my doctor who changed one medicine and treated a serious thyroid deficiency until they got the right balance. It has taken a while but I am felling better than I have in many years. I was contacted over the last 3 months on Facebook from men, (honest to goodness single men I checked) that I knew in my past but never dated and we have been having a good time catching up and making each other laugh.

I haven't posted a lot but I read a lot and recommended more when I had no words and I am sure that this group helped me get where I am today. A year ago I was no good to myself or any other person and today I have more years to add some good chapters.

Thanks to you and the others for this group.

Somehow I find that saying something sincere and kind to a fellow-griever helps me deal with my own grief just a little bit better, even though (or maybe partially because) we're strangers to each other.

I'm a loner, even a hermit, and had you told me this 20 years ago, I wouldn't have believed you.

i have cried a tremendous amount of tears onto my keyboard as i shared my heartbreak and felt the heartbreak of others here.

thank you -- all of you -- for "listening"
for caring
for sympathizing
for understanding
for sharing

and thank god for this group/place/refuge

while there is so much sorrow, so much sadness in our hearts and anguish in our words, i realize that there is an incredible amount of love we have for those we miss in our lives.
and how absolutely amazing to be able to love and care about someone so completely.

we grieve and we love.
we remember and we love.
we go on and we love.
