Winter is about to arrive in SE Wisconsin
This morning Golden Lake was still not frozen over. Tomorrow the first substantial snowfall 9-11 inches arrives,
then it's 5-7 days of single digit F (above and below) days (love that expedition parka I got to work in the Karekian arctic back in 1998!)
Got my sildenafil rx filled last month to help get blood into my Raynaud syndrome compromised hands and fingers (really, it's NOT just for peepee fun, it opens blood vessels that carry warmth to finger tips).
So, in 3 pairs of pants, with heavy socks in my boots, I'll be pushing snow off ~800 ft of farm lane tomorrow pm and into Wed morning. If there are upsides, it's that it's my farm lane, and I'll be doing that from the seat of a 24 hp tractor (it'll still take hours, I can't yet afford a snowblower for the tractor). Yes, winter happens here. but as I see it, the cold will wane by mid March. Thats only weeks away (of course so is the next New Year)
