Related: About this forumI am not use to temps getting down to 3 F in October!
It's been snowing off and on for two days, which is normal for this time of year here, but the temperatures! My God.

(16,379 posts)More than likely an early evening for the little goblins, too. I have a feeling we're going to have a lot of candy left over. Oh, darn.

(86,612 posts)-12F! Been snowing off and on for a few days. Our first significant snow was weeks ago but temps stayed in the double digits. Last night was cold. It's been holding at +8F since the sun went down but the forecast is for sub zero temps over night, like as cold as -20F already! Geeze, glad I got my winter stuff out last week. And then it's supposed to be near +60F on Friday.

(33,643 posts)afternoon. I mean it's plummeted into the high 50-low 60's at 3am, but the days have still been in the 80's.
Today I think we might've topped out at 78 or so here ... and the touch of morning nip in the air lasted all the way till noon ... man, that was nice ... means summer is finally over ... might still get a few days in the 80's, but no more 100F+ til at least ... February?
Might even start wearing pants, long sleeves, and non-sandals here in the next month or so ...

(25,857 posts)Temps at 3F in October in Phoenix would be very cold. Snow there incredibly rare.
But in Denver or Bozeman, not so unusual. Context matters.

(23,314 posts)3 inches of snow that fell on Monday. I am so hoping we break 30 degrees today. This is too cold for this time of year.
