Don’t bash people like me who want a say in what we put in our bodies

I am not anti science I want the choice to buy non GMO food. So I want it labeled. That is not hurting you in any way. I don’t want it replacing all are seeds. I don’t want some corporation owning all the seed production. I don’t want government telling me I can’t have a seed bank.

I am not stopping you from eating GMO if you so choose.

So quit the dramatics.

1. Nearly ALL farm products are already GMO's.

This is wild corn:

2. "No GMO's" on product packages is many times deceptive, and attracts people to buy more expensive products.
"Organic" produce, meats, etc, has markups that are beyond belief.

I've seen milk that is advertised as "organic" that is THREE TIMES the price of ordinary milk.
And milk is milk. Period.

I buy produce from a farmer's market and it is no where like the crap sold in grocery stores. Take a tomato from the grocery and place it on the window sill. Place one from my farmer's market next to it. The modified one never rots. The other one rots in a few days.

I use to be a produce manager in the 60's. Fresh produce today does not smell like produce, does not have the texture of produce and does not taste like produce. It has all been engineered to make more of a profit for producers.

Thankfully I can still get some good smelling and tasting produce at the farmer's market or until "science" takes that away too.

We usually bash corporations here but for some reason we like Monsanto for it''s "science."

I'm sorry but anecdotal statements abut produce today not looking right or tasting right to you does not count as peer reviewed science that is independent of corporate influence. I'll take the latter - even if the GMO is done to increase profits, it does not mean that it is necessarily bad.

All tomatoes we consume (including your farmer's market tomatoes & grocery store tomatoes) were created through old fashioned cross-breeding.
