I wonder what the most popular excuse to not get the shot this year will be...

1) Gives you the flu

2) Doesn't work

3) I get colds all the time and I'm fine so I don't need it*

*This is the actual excuse used by my s/o's sister in law who is a nurse, I kid you not - she works in a hospital and never gets the flu shot.

NM usually has a pretty late flu season and I'm a hermit.

However, yeah, I can see a lot of unfortunate boobs out there I've had the displeasure of running into online thinking exactly like that.

The flu knocked me on my ass for months and almost ruined a trip to Europe.

I swore that would be the last time thank you very much.

I told her I got my shot so they are out and she should get hers. She said the only year she got the shot she got the flu. I asked her when she had the flu. She meant the stomach flu. I said "you know that's not the type of flu the shot is for, right." She just shrugged and said "oh."

She could bring it home to her family or spread it to other patients, imo it's selfish to take the chance.

My s/o's mother is also a nurse and tries to convince her to get the vaccine very year.

that he thought he caught what the lady sitting next to him on the plane had. His symptoms are nothing like those the lady had, but going down that road with him is useless. Being a rwnj he thinks himself qualified for Congress too.
