As long as the POTUS is a secularist, I wouldn't mind if s/he were not an atheist or an agnostic.

(22,434 posts)and a dogged insistence (by believers) ....on the of what the definition of "atheism" is.
Comes up OVER AND OVER again. So much so that I frequently define myself as an "agnostic"
just to avoid having to have the SAME arguments ad nauseum.
We gain in numbers when we speak out and define ourselves.
The younger generation is making incredible strides in asserting themselves as freethinkers!
I am a huge proponent of atheist billboards and other outward showings of logic, humility and personal responsibility.

(19,705 posts)Indeed, that is the case. And we can do more to foster the environment that gives kids the tools to think for themselves and stand up to irrational superstition and belief in the supernatural, such as Camp Quest.
