refer to the wormhole as a wormhole and not the Celestial Temple of the Prophets?

The Bajoran gods actually exist, interact with the Bajorans, and literally exert their influence to make things go their way. Their prophecies always come true and there's no rational reason to doubt the Prophets, their power, or their prophecies.

The argument in that episode, while presented in terms of the ongoing science vs. religion "debate," is more akin to Catholics getting pissed off that someone saying "Joseph Ratzinger lives in a big house in Italy" rather than "His Holiness the Pope lives in the Apostolic Palace inside Vatican City."

Avery Brooks really did go up to the mountain and return. It was really cool to see religion finally actually happen.

I miss DS9. Major Kyra Norisse was totally cool and real and flawed and wonderful. Great characters. Best TV ever.
