Emily Olson short speech at FFRF

Emily is a business owner and member of the city council in Owosso, Mich., and she received a special “Nothing Fails Like Prayer” Award for attempting to persuade the Owosso city council to discontinue prayer. (At the October 2023 Freedom From Religion Foundation annual convention in Madison, WI.)

Emily's speech is only about 13 minutes long, after a 1:30 intro. Interesting story that I had not heard before.

The intolerance from Christians is frankly, intolerable.

While it had nothing to do with religion we did have a crazy in town who had a vendetta against the city. He was my next door neighbor. the police was sure he wold poop someday and I would be the likely victim.

So I kind of get the small town + crazy citizen situation.
