Shes replied that she was an atheist, so no. It was great. Even in Oklahoma there are atheists and liberals.

which is about a stone's throw away.

But you are right - there ain't supposed to be any atheists down that way.
Poor Wolf was totally flummoxed.

seems like they always pick a Bible Belt state to visit. I looked for 2019 and no location had been announced

I wouldn't mind another Bible Belt state (except perhaps Mississippi). I'll keep an eye out for 2019, too.

where the cities are actually much more moderate to liberal. Some great folks in these places and more than a few closet atheists.

I've largely lost interest in "movement Atheism" over the past few years, but American Atheists seems to have its act together. Sounds like it'll be quite the shindig.

Hell, I'd go just to listen to Seth Andrews talk. It wouldn't even have to be about atheism. He could just read the ingredients on a box of brownie mix.

Not interesting enough to live there, but the federal building memorial is among the most moving I've ever seen. They have an osteology museum which is worth a visit. And I'm a big fan of Hideaway Pizza. Also, they're really pushing Bricktown as a spot for nightlife, although I'm a little old to comment on that personally. There are worse places to visit for a couple of days.

It's kind of like how I'll scan through the channel guide and see "Duck D..." and get all excited hoping for Duck Dodgers, and then when I finish the name I realize it's just those Duck Dynasty morons trying to confuse ducks into mating with them.
