Injunction: Lehigh County Seal violates First Amendment

The seal could be vanished within 180 days

LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. - The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania issued an injunction Wednesday that says the Lehigh County Seal adopted by the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners in 1944, violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

The Lehigh County Board of Commissioners, however, has said it plans to appeal.

Just because they got away with it for sixty years, the time has come to rid the land of theocratic symbols.

Now they are going to waste taxpayer money to appeal.
