This guy! I LOVE this story! My human/alien hybrid CIA lover!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3214325/Jeffrey-Lash-convinced-multiple-women-human-alien-hybrid-worked-CIA.html

Mysterious LA loner with $5m gun arsenal convinced multiple women he was 'a human-alien hybrid secret agent sent to save the human race'

Body of 60-year-old Jeffrey Alan Lash was found on July 17
His fiancee Catherine Nebron and her employee Dawn VadBunker left it outside Nebron's Pacific Palisades home
They had been instructed by Lash before his death that his body would be picked up by government agents and that they had to then leave town
Police then found 1,200 guns and 6.5 tons of ammunition at Nebron's house, as well as $230,000 in cash
VadBunker left her husband suddenly shortly after meeting Lash
Lash also had a home with a woman named Jocelyn in Malibu and was also involved with another woman named Michelle Lyons
Nebron, Jocelyn and Lyons will all be making claims to his estate

Thanks! That was a fascinating read. Having just relocated out of L.A., I have to say it doesn't surprise me a bit. If I had a dollar for every time I've overheard some knucklehead in a bar claiming to be CIA, I'd be richer than that former CIA Director named Bush.

I did notice some...common elements among the scammed in this case. So at the probable risk of a Hide, here's some vintage sexism from Julie Brown:

Reminds me of a similar story - Diazien Hossencroft, mutant alien somethingorother who convinced people he was immortal. His poor girlfriend, unfortunately, was not:

The investigation into the murder of Girly Chew uncovered a conspiracy fantasy involving reptilian queens, UFOs and reports of cannibalism. Girly Chew's husband Diazien Hossencofft and his girlfriend Linda Henning were convicted of her murder. Girly's body has never been found.

This VadBunker woman is still missing....
I'm guessing that there was more than $230,000 in cash,
and that she's spending it somewhere.

Question is WHERE THE HELL did he get the money?

Maybe she'll turn up in some exotic foreign location.

As for where he got the money, I'm guessing inheritance. True Story: I used to live beside an empty house with pool in L.A. that was falling apart, and the pool attracted mosquitoes. Then it attracted the Health Dept. It took a while to figure out who owned the place. Owner turned out to be an elderly woman who was a member of the famous Hershey chocolate family. She was getting senile, I guess, and had inherited property all over L.A. County that she had apparently just forgotten about.

But that was in the (mostly) low-rent San Fernando Valley. Pacific Palisades is a very ritzy community, mostly white and VERY affluent. (Median income of $168,000, according to the LA TIMES.) Unlike the nouveau riche 'hoods such as Beverly Hills and Malibu, it's also low-key and doesn't generally attract much attention.

Demographics/map for the curious:
