4th atheist Bangladeshi blogger hacked to death this year

..by proponents of the "religion of peace".

A Bangladeshi blogger known for his atheist views has been hacked to death by a gang armed with machetes in the capital Dhaka, police say.

Niloy Neel was attacked at his home in the city's Goran area. He is the fourth secularist blogger to have been killed this year by suspected Islamist militants in Bangladesh.

Imran H Sarkar, head of the Bangladesh Blogger and Activist Network, told the BBC that Mr Neel had been an anti-extremist voice of reason. "He was the voice against fundamentalism and extremism and was even a voice for minority rights - especially women's rights and the rights of indigenous people," he said.

BBC World Service South Asia editor Charles Haviland says that, like previous victims, Mr Neel was not only secular but atheist and, like two of the others, he was from a Hindu, not a Muslim, background. All four men killed were on a list of 84 "atheist bloggers" drawn up by Islamic groups in 2013 and widely circulated.

It was originally submitted to the government with the aim of having the bloggers arrested and tried for blasphemy. The groups which wanted bloggers arrested told us they have no knowledge of who is behind the killings. There is also a more complex backdrop to the killings. Islamic groups label all these bloggers "atheists" - and many did indeed use the internet to criticise those who believe in God.

But in fact, not all the bloggers were atheists. What they did have in common was they were part of a wider, secular movement that took to the streets in protest in 2013. The BBC's Akbar Hossain in Dhaka says Mr Neel had filed a police report expressing fear for his life, but his complaints had not been not followed up.

Of course not. Why protect those filty atheists? Original is here.

Only in very rare cases (coincidences) and Hollywood/TV Land does karma actually work.

The sickest sons of bitches can live to ripe old ages.

Innocent youth can be snuffed out before having a chance.

You can catch a bullet just walking down the street.

Evidence of karma? Uh, nope.

The Muslim extremists seem to be everywhere, and growing fast. It seems like no one is safe, unless they are also extremist Muslims. At least the Christians have eternal life.....all atheists have is this life, so it is sadder to see that life snuffed out. All taking of life just seems so counter to any religion, since religion is supposed to be your moral compass.

And we all know what people should do with "vermin," right? Scary to read the same vicious hatred toward vocal atheists right here on a progressive website.

One thing about vermin, the more you try to exterminate them, the more they reproduce. This will backfire.

Bangladeshi Police Tell Atheist Bloggers to Stop Criticizing Religion if They Want to Avoid Being Killed
August 10, 2015 by Hemant Mehta 75 Comments

Four atheist bloggers have been assassinated so far this year in Bangladesh, so it’s good to know local law enforcement officials have finally issued a solution to the problem. Too bad it’s a shitty solution.

Terming hurting one’s religious sentiment as crime, Inspector General of Police (IGP) has advised the free thinkers not to hurt religious sentiment in their writings.

IGP AKM Shahidul Haque said: “According to laws if any one hurts one’s feelings, he will be punished by the law.”

Advising the free thinkers, IGP said: “None should cross the limit.”

There we go. If only those atheists stopped criticizing religion, this problem would just go away!

Forget the people hacking them to death. There’s no reason to go after them. This is all the fault of the atheists, what with their silly ideas and questions and words. Keep in mind that there are another 80 atheists still on a hit list.

What’s the IGP’s next agenda item? Arresting all rape victims for provoking their assailants?

Niloy Neel, the latest atheist blogger to be killed, said on Facebook before he died that the police didn’t do anything to help him after he reported being followed. This latest pronouncement just adds insult to injury. To be clear, Neel did nothing wrong. The blame — and I can’t believe I have to say this — is entirely the fault of the people who beheaded him and cut off his hands. No one’s been arrested so far in Neel’s death even though an al-Qaeda affiliate has claimed responsibility for it.

That soon they will be no place safe from them. They have infested Europe, and with the way they breed it won't be long.
