Dawkins, Coyne and other usual suspects are pressuring the Irish president to repeal the Irish blasphemy law. The ONLY Western blasphemy law to be passed in the 21st century.
One interesting part: Pakistan offered to adopt the Irish blasphemy law for itself exactly as written. This is part of the ongoing effort, mostly by Muslim nations, to implement laws against mocking religion. And also to point out Western hypocrisy.
If anyone believes their punishment for blasphemy in Ireland would be identical to their punishment for the same offense in Pakistan, please PM me for a great real estate deal. A large metal structure near Brooklyn...
