Oh, man. Edwin Kagin, co-founder of Camp Quest, has died

Think I'll make a donation to them in his memory.

EDWIN KAGIN

It is with great sadness that American Atheists staff confirms that our friend and colleague National Legal Director Edwin Kagin has died at his home in Kentucky at the age of 73.

Edwin was an outspoken and powerful advocate for atheists in and out of the courtroom. He and his late wife Helen also founded Camp Quest.

We will pass along more information about any final arrangements when details become available. We ask that our members and supporters keep Edwin's friends and family in their thoughts.

Yet from my experience with the organization, his efforts have reaped rewards beyond belief (no pun intended, maybe). Each year more camps open their doors, bringing science, skepticism, and reason to more and more kids.
