I was thinking, "yeah, well, we're lucky to have the fossils we do have because fossilization is actually fairly rare and you have to find them and dig them up..."

This way is more succinct.

Because the conditions to make them must be perfect. That means that all of the fossils we actually have are just a tiny bit of the massive proof of evolution and Darwin's theories.
