Astronomers with the Slooh online observatory will host a free webcast of the bright, naked-eye Comet NEOWISE on Saturday (June 18) at 5 p.m. EDT (2000 GMT). Watch it live here, courtesy of Slooh.com.

The event will stream on YouTube for free, and paid Slooh members can join in the live discussion via Zoom. Hosted by Slooh astronomer Paul Cox, the show will feature live views of the comet as experts discuss the astronomical event.

You can watch it live in the window above, courtesy of Slooh, or directly via Slooh's YouTube channel.

From Slooh:
Slooh's next mission is to livestream a Star Party featuring live telescope streams of the spectacular Comet NEOWISE. The comet now comes within reach of Slooh's huge telescopes at its flagship observatory at the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands.

The next to last and then last star in the handle make a pretty good pointer and almost line up with the lower star in the dipper itself to point to Neowise.

It is pretty cool once you see it but you will definitely need binoculars. I'm a seasoned observer. I could just barely pick it out naked eye once I knew where it was. Admittedly the seeing was not good for me last night but still.

Good Luck! It is worth it! (with binocs)

I want to see it again to see that it has moved but alas it is quite cloudy and humid tonight.
