AN ASTEROID dubbed potentially hazardous by space agency NASA will come incredibly close to Earth next week, NASAs asteroid trackers have confirmed.

The asteroid is estimated to measures more than 1,800ft (550m) across, making it taller than Sears Tower in Chicago. NASA predicts the space rock will swing by our planet just minutes before midnight on Friday, January 10.
When this happens, NASA said the rock will make a close approach to Earth.
Dubbed Asteroid 2019 UO, NASAs trackers confirmed the rocks trajectory in October 2019.
Since then, NASA has calculated the asteroids size, speed and orbit to determine whether it poses a threat to Earth.
Due to its impressive size and close brush with Earth, NASAs astronomers dubbed 2019 UO a potentially hazardous asteroid or PHA.
