NASA will hold a live spacesuit demonstration on Tuesday, Oct. 15, to showcase the space agency new spacesuit for astronauts on the moon: the Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit, or xEMU. The event will begin at 2 p.m. EDT (1900 GMT).

The new spacesuit, which NASA hopes to test on the International Space Station in upcoming years, will be the one used by astronauts to walk on the moon in 2024, NASA officials said.
NASA will also unveil its new Orion launch and entry spacesuit, called the Orion Crew Survival System.

Media are invited to NASA Headquarters in Washington Tuesday, Oct. 15 to get an up-close look at the next generation spacesuits the first woman and next man to explore the Moon will wear as part of the agencys Artemis program.
