Red rainbows happen when the sun is on the horizon. Theyre created in much the same process that causes a sunset or sunrise to look red.

Who would really be fired up and pleased as punch to see a lot of flying thingies flapping down out of the sky?
I wouldn't.
I might want to hide from the red rainbow, actually, fearing something too strange was about to happen.
It would be riveting from a safe distance.
