Grew up on Mercury and Gemini. I almost applied to the shuttle program early on.

It goes by VERY fast. It's the fastest thing in the sky for something so small. With the naked eye, all you see is a point of light, and don't expect to setup a telescope, it's just too fast. It's too fast for binoculars.
In the autumn and winter months, I keep track of the ISS, and sometimes get a bunch of us at work to look out for it at work, on the roof. It's simply an awesome sight!

And looked so low compared to other satellites. Where does it fly in it orbit, how far up?
