Please pray things improve for me

I think my tmj is here to stay since its too expensive to fix. I'm wearing the splint to chew.

My SO and I are having a contentious relationship. He's constantly threatening to cut off monetary support.

I just want something good to happen. My sister had a great life traveling the world, owns a nice house, and I'm stuck disabled and home bound. I long to travel.

A constant curtain of depression and anxiety covers me.

I'm no longer talking to an abusive sister who was angling for money. Another person lost i thought was on my side.

I know I'm a depressing person friends and relatives don't want to hear anymore. I have a therapist. TIA

I pray, to all the good forces of The Universe that the cloud lifts and the evil forces are defeated. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Hugs to you; hang in there kiddo. I will always listen.

May the light within you shine.

I once had something related, perhaps not what you are experiencing, but one morning I woke and realized I couldn't open my jaw more than about a quarter inch. I must have been clenching my jaw for a long time in my sleep. There was a lot of pain and stiffness. I thought about how a snake unhinges its jaw for a large meal, and thought I'd try it. I massaged the area around the back of the jaw and where it connects to the skull. Then I sat up and looked up toward the ceiling. I gently pushed my jaw back towards the back of my head by pushing on the chin with one hand. Then I moved my fingers to both sides of my jaw and gently pushed the jaw down, towards my chest. Then I gently massaged the back of the jaw again. It felt like things settled back into the right place.. It worked—I was able to open my mouth all the way again. I figure it got out of joint to one side in my sleep somehow.

We have you in our prayers! In fact, I added you to my email reminders so I can't forget.

So sorry you are going through such difficulties. Something I recently learned from one of my favorite follows @thejackhopkins (and his Jack Hopkins Now newsletter on Substack) is that one little thing to help ourselves is to remind ourselves that none of us are just one thing. Like this: My neighbor is a real grouch…except when he's not. I'm a selfish person…except when I'm generous. Keeps us from getting locked in and beating ourselves (and others) up constantly.

I've been having some anxiety with the threat to democracy, and his newsletter and videos give me practical tools for keeping steady and focused. I'm a paid subscriber now and it's well worth it, but there's great free content too.

crushing to one's existence. I hope your therapist can help. It's hard to find one capable of understanding and charting a course. And you need a "prescriber" should meds be needed. I've been on this path for 30 years and it is not easy. I am not trying to be negative. My own experience is that it can be elusive. All the best going forward!

Depending on income, it is possible to get dual coverage (Medicare + Medicaid) & Medicaid does cover dental. (Though it's not always easy to find a dentist will take it).

Interesting that Medicare won't cover it. Some states mandate TMJ coverage as part of medical coverage.

Tmj is awful! You poor dear.
Thought I had it & ended up being a tremor. Long journey.
My sister has MS, and is now using Mark Cubans pharmacy for her meds. By her drs recommendations.
I don’t know the details, but maybe that is viable, for something like the splint-when needed?

Dental is highway robbery-am so sorry.

I have a lot of problems going on. I feel I may be posting too much. I've become the depressing person everyone is sick of. I can talk to my shrink and you guys on DU. That's it.

Besides anxiety, I have relationship problems, expensive dental work for tmj it looks like I'm stuck with, being ignored by relatives. Even an abusive half sister I finally figured out was trying to weasel money out of me. Which she got over 400 from my broke ass.
