(Jewish Group) Labour's intersection of antisemitism and misogyny

(THIS IS THE JEWISH GROUP! RESPECT!!)

The Labour Party has finally suspended a member who abused two MPs, Ruth Smeeth and Dame Margaret Hodge, as ‘a couple of s**t-stirring c*m buckets bought and paid for by Israel’.

Something happens at the intersection of antisemitism and misogyny which creates a fury greater than the sum of its parts and which drips with sexual violence.

The party only suspended this abuser after the case was leaked to the Sunday Times, which reported that Thomas Gardiner, ‘a Corbyn ally and the powerful chief of Labour’s governance and legal unit’, frustrated efforts by a member of his staff to fast-track the investigation of this incident.

He didn’t want this incident to jump the queue. No special favours for Ruth and Margaret. Do they think they’re something special?

Ruth Smeeth WhatsApped Jeremy Corbyn personally to ask him what he was going to do about this. She got two ticks but no response. And her mother had to read it in the paper over her cornflakes on Sunday morning.

I keep wondering how many more will happen. When I told my brother, my husband and I planned to go tot he Tulsa Pride parade in May, he asked if it would be safe. I honestly don't know. The last time I was there, there were around 20 neo-Nazis protesting in full gear. So who knows. I worry every time he goes to synagogue, which is rarely because he is a doctor (and single, so if you have any leads. Sorry, I have to find a bit of light (humor) in all this darkness).

Of course, I am also angry at those who take a tragedy like this to veer off on other tangents, or worse, blame other Jews (Sheldon, Netanyahu) while saying nothing about the attack or the victims (some who do it claim to be Jews themselves, which is even more infuriating).

I am sorry for those who lost their lives or loved ones, and those who were injured or even had to endure the shooting. But, honestly my friend, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and something really major to happen. I feel Jews are living on borrowed time before a major assault against us; it is just a matter of where, when, and how many of us will die.

but I'm sure the authorities are on high alert during a Pride Parade......I think you should go, we cannot let these fascist pricks have us living in fear - they're the COWARDS....I do understand your anger, especially with that sick dog-whistling bigot pretending to be "president"; stay safe my friend.
