However, Jewish Insider has learned exclusively that the President’s daughter and son-in-law spent the first days of the Passover holiday at the Four Seasons Resort in Whistler, a resort town in British Columbia, Canada.

A Jewish Insider reader shared a photo with us of Ivanka in ski gear filling up a plate of food while chatting on her cell phone a few hours before Monday night’s Seder.





In past years, Ivanka has joined Jared’s family at the Biltmore in Arizona, at a program near the Mayan Ruins in Mexico, and last year at Ivanka’s own Trump National Doral in Miami.

In fact, Jared first met Avi Berkowitz, now his deputy at the White House, on the basketball courts at the Biltmore Passover program.

1. I don't get how they are Orthodox

Even Modern Orthodox women dress conservatively and wear a head covering, sometimes just a small scarf or headband, but it's there.

I'm not one to normally question conversions, especially in light of the conversion crisis a few years back. But Ivanka? I do question her sincerity and commitment to Orthodox Judaism. And I question the rabbi who brought her before the beis din.

I deeply loathe that family.

How dare they identify as Jewish and simultaneously work for this administration. If Ivanka and Jared were serious about their faith, they would have called for Spicer to be fired. And Trump would have done it. And yet... he still has a job?

They bring shame to Americans. And Ivanka brings shame to women everywhere.

12. Hate to break it to you

But Orthodox overwhelmingly supported Trump (after their favorite, Ted Cruz, bowed out).

It's gotten so much so that I can barely stand my own home shul in Crown Heights.

I don't see anyone claiming Chabadnicks are not Jewish. And most ex-pats in Israel are Republican. Same issue here.

Judaism (excepting Reform) is no longer a reliable indicator of political persuasion.

But on another topic, I share several of your concerns regarding Ivanna's level of observance. I suppose she could get a pass for her manner of dress if just coming from a ski --- there are accepted exceptions to dress when participating in sports, for most. (Although my daughters always wore tights under a little skirt to play basketball, for example.) But this is hardly the only example.
