Too bad the RCC is still governed by an ensconced set of Bishops and Cardinals that can do everything in their power to controvert the reasonableness this Pope is espousing. And they will do that. Change will not be forthcoming just based on proclamations by the Pope.

What I do know is that the trappings of the Church gave me great comfort when I was young.

I still enjoy the rituals for what they are, rituals.

What I do find comforting is having a place to go when I start questioning my own mortality.

It's nice to be part of something that traces it's start more than 2,000 years ago.

And since this Pope seems to be a part of the continuum while looking as if he is going to do something to inch the Church into the 21st century.

....then I wish you well and the best of luck where ever your path takes you. For my part even though I am thrilled with the things Francis is doing, I still feel more at home in the Episcopal Church.
