(CNN) -- Here's a confession: I can never preside at a baptism without conjuring the scene from the "The Godfather" in which Michael Corleone rubs out all his enemies.
Thank you, Francis Ford Coppola.
If you're looking for juicier confessions -- that is, admissions of the kinds of sins unearthed on detective shows or reality TV -- then you'll want to look elsewhere. My sinning life is rather uneventful.
But if you want to hear what it's really like to be a Catholic priest, read on.

(18,470 posts)The scenes outside the church were shot at St. Joachim and St. Anne in the Pleasant Plains section of Staten Island, New York.
What's nice is that the film preserves how the church originally looked. Most of the church was destroyed in a fire in 1973 however the facade was left standing. A new church was built on the same site incorporating the original facade and steeple.
Here's a site with pictures of the church as it appears now.

(462 posts)I followed the link and read the article. It is refreshing ro read about a happy Catholic priest who likes his life. We hear so much negativity about the priesthood, so once in a while a story about the positive aspects renews our prospective.
Thank you for sharing this with us!
