He was a bouncer at a place called the Wooden Nickle and worked some type of construction - think it was roofing, and would be in his late 60's now (I think). Is that you or just someone with the same name?

But I did live in California and I did work construction. I am 83 now if my memory serves.

Yep, thee guy I knew was a couple of years younger than me and I'm now 72. Nice to meet you anyway. This is a good place to come and talk with sympatico folks.
