Memphis Pagans gather for annual pride day at Overton Park
Michele Glasnovic's life changed after a late-night conversation at Denny's.
Raised Catholic, Glasnovic had shed those religious trappings. But she felt something was missing, until she had that Denny's conversation with a practitioner of Wicca.
"'Hey, I get that,'" she thought. "Light bulbs went off in my head."
So she joined up, and now Glasnovic considers herself a Wiccan and a Pagan. On Sunday afternoon, the web designer was one of 60 or so who gathered at Overton Park for the ninth Pagan Pride Day. In addition to camaraderie with like-minded people, the event was also a chance to tell others about what Paganism is, and more precisely, isn't.
