Military Basic Training and Worship

My daughter is going for Lakeland AFB in November for the Guard. She was told that if she doesn't go to some kind of worship services, she will be assigned KP duty during that time. Atheists are discriminated against?

Although she listed as Roman Catholic, she doesn't believe in that, and wants to change her status to Non-denominational. She told me she does not want anything to do with Christian religions in the South. Occasionally, she goes to a Spiritualist Church where she lives, but that is not among the listed "approved religions" in the Military.

She is considering going to Wiccan Services because that seems to be the closest to the Spiritualist worship she goes go.

Advice?

I've never been in the military so I don't know what advice I could give on this matter. I can ask around to those whom I know that used to be in the military and are Wiccan.

He advises that she could state that she is agnostic, leaning towards Wicca. He also stressed to take this matter up with the Chaplin and, if that Chaplin doesn't give a satisfactory response, then to go up the chain of command withing the Chaplin s. A lot of us believe that the freedom of religion means the freedom from religion as well. I'm still waiting for a response from my second guy who was in the navy. Good luck with this and Bright Blessings.
